Yup, that 17-50 LIVES on my AF-100 A package.

I've been debating getting this lens, but have heard mixed reviews, so have been hoping to get down to RED to check it out in person.

How's the breathing? And the sharpness when wide-open, especially at 4k? And lastly can you pull a smooth zoom on it?

Its all acceptable considering the price.

I'd wager its sharp, RED only sells sharp lenses to show off the "4kness" of their cameras. The RPP are stupid sharp. thats about it though.... not sure about breathing.

I was just kidding about buying one CP2.2 (well mostly kidding). Since buying the FS100 a few months ago I have put together a nikon ais manual set: 20mm f/2.8, 28mm f/2, 35mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4, 55mm Macro, 85mm f/1.4. I'm happy with it... and know that the glass and camera is not to blame for the average quality of my footage... Lack of skill takes care of that.
