I rented a set of Zeiss CP.2's, 28 - 50 - 85, for a shoot. I've wanted to try these out for a while now. I didn't know I could rent them locally for a day and when I found out I could I was stoked. The good thing is I can easily and affordably get them again. The kit came with the Hod Rod tuner kit. Thats a nice system with PL mount. I was surprised how light the CP.2's are. I didn't think a lens this light would need the lens support but I used it anyway since I rented the whole kit and didn't want to chance damaging the camera. The focus and iris are so smooth. Man I want to use this set again. I found the 85 to long for this shoot. My ZF 85mm is one of my favorites. The 28 and 50 was my go to. Probably the 28 mostly. A pure joy to use cinema lenses. Bummer they cost $4000 each.

I have some unedited frame grabs on my blog as well.
