I'm so confused about which to buy, the xl2 or the dvx. I go back and forth and back and forth. Mainly I want to shoot features so I thought dvx (with the 24p) was the way to go. I just didn't think it was possible for the xl2 to look close to film.
Then I saw this. A movie called "Precursor" on www.triggerstreet.com. Go check it out. (if you're not already a member, prepare to do some work. It takes forever to sign up)
I swear as I watched it I was sure it was shot on 35mm. Then on their info page it said they shot the movie with an xl1. I was like 'huh??' Anyway, please watch it and let me know if this guy is joshing the world. Obviously he did some color correction, but can anybody tell me what else he might of used to make it look so good?
Also it's a cool little ****ing movie.
