Today I ordered my AG-HVX-200E from a supplycompany in Norway!

The price with out any P2 Cards is 47.900,- + VAT - But I got a 10% discount making the price 43.100,- + VAT

They said shipping will start in march.
Too bad the Norwegian VAT is 25%, I'll have to figure that out.

It would be fun to see who else at DVXuser.com is Norwegian, please reply this post!

43,100.00 NOK Norway Kroner = 5,416.18 EUR Euro according to xe.com

not bad at all!! the higher the VAT the lower the baseprice i guess. Do you know if EU companies can claim back the VAT from Norway? We actually might buy taxfree.....interesting thought. where did you buy?

I'm Norwegian! :) But I currently live in Los Angeles... lol.

There aren't many other Haakons out here. :-P

not bad at all? its 6,493.54 USD! and 25% VAT on top of that?! woo... it would hurt to work in europe!

43.000 NOK is what the DVX100AE cost us about half a year ago. I don't think it's such a bad offer, but I'll wait until the HVX300 comes out, and the HVX200 drops 2/3 in price:cheesy:

Oh wait, 43.000 + VAT? That's a bit more than a DVX100AE, yeah...

xe.com give mid-market rates which can be kinda misleading by a few hundred euros depending on your bank, so just to be safe check the currency conversion with a few banks in your locality first.....
I spent 6400 Euros after currency conversion for the NTSC hvx with two 4gig cards, shotgun mic and shipping from Vancouver to Europe... (needless to say I don't have it yet)... sounds like a whopping big difference but I will have to pay duty of about 600 Euro plus Vat which I can claim back, so say 7,000 total xVat.... don't know how much they'll charge you in Norway for the two 4gigs plus the panny shotgun mic but do the calculation and compare to what I paid as a real end of the line Europe versus US/Canada comparison. Let me know what you come out with - hopefully I paid at least 5Euros less so I still feel good. Anyway I needed the Ntsc version so it doesn't matter to me if you get yours cheaper - I imagine you will work out cheaper xVat based on your camera price unless they're charging more than in US for the cards, in which case buy them in the US as there should be no duty to pay on SD memory cards into EU.

I'm Norwegian and responsible for Panasonic Broadcast products in Norway.
I'm not a regular dvxuser participant but I check in from time to time.
Glad to hear there are fellow norwegians in this forum, and that there are some interest in HVX200!

Best,

Vidar

Toke,

As we know today, AG-HVX200E (50 Hz version, I feel wrong to say just PAL) will be available and shipping in Europe during March. (2006... :-)

Best,

Vidar

Tjenare!

Good to have fellow Norwegians to share the pain when the hvx200 stops working in the winter (here above the polar circle in Kabelvåg) or gets too humid (on the west coast)

I will also buy the hvx to shoot a semi-pro feature this summer. But I think march sounds dangerously close to film start..... Let´s hope it all holds together.

If I could choose, I would´ve preferred an hvx with more latitude instead of more resolution I think... I´ve been looking to that reel-stream stuff... It´s incredible... hope that works with the hvx someday too.

oh enough babbling.. c u all!

50 Hz version??

Im in US but want a hvx for US and Europe shooting...(NTSC) Please dont ell me I need 2 cameras to shoot here and abroad!?

Yeah, but we don't have 40 000 000 living under the poverty line.

Just for your information: video4.no takes preorders too... And I think videoutstyr.no does too.... The price is about the same: video4 takes 70000+mva and videoutstyr takes 68000+mva, but without the bag and tripod video4 puts in for free.

oh joy. I´m confused wether to snakke norsk or speak in English... :)

Wow! I love the fantastic multi-cultural mix we have here on DVXuser. The world beyond North America seems remarkably well represented. It's nice to have this big unified melting pot!

"snakke Norsk"

Hee! Hee! I like the word "snakke"

Wow.. sweeds and Norwegians on the same page. I thought you guys fought and said funny jokes about the other. Atleast most of the sweeds I know pick on the others.. and then it seems the same with the Norwegians. You funny frozen people!

Anyone going to shoot the ice hotel with the HVX before it melts?
