there is no impressive footages on panasonics?

hi friend i have canon 550d and i want to buy GH2
in all over the internet every one says gh2 is high end and will beat 5d t2i and something like this
but i did not see impressive and professional video that shows the power of gh2
as you know hollywood and professional uses 7d or t2i and they sent professional footages on the net and you can see on the vimeo

but all of panasonic owners shoot their mom in kitchen their baby in bed and very very amature and horrible samples. if we want to decide which better on footage that is on the net every one goes to t2i with closed eyes .
but some side by side test shows that panasonic have better sharpness.
does anybody have the impressive sample to post here?

Why don't you just go to your local photo store ask them for a GH2, pop your own SD in it, start shooting around the store and see how professionally you can shoot a sample! That is what I do every time I want to see how a new camera I am interested in performs. Are you a pro or aspire to be a pro? Then go try it yourself and you will be able to decide how good it is. It is that simple.

85% of the footage I saw and shot looks wayyyy better than every canon
Footage I saw.. So, can you argue about that ?

Just look a little bit deeper into Vimeo:

It's not all about sharpness, but about overall image impression. Don't worry so much about the camera, be more focused on lenses, and most importend: lighting.

p.s.: the reason it's not used so apparently by professionals could be simple scepticism; canon is a well known brand when it comes to DSLR, so the 5D was a huhe impact; when it comes to real camcorders look simply at the success of the AF100.
p.p.s.: i guess a fragile gh2 (compared to e.g. 60D/5D) doesn't awake so much confidence (through tough body, huge battery stamina or the like), without reference to IQ

John, in a store you will find the particular situation of that store only. Through the net you will find almost every possible situation: indoor, outdoor, night, day, every sort of lighting, portraits, landscapes, sport events, narrative works, home movies and so on. I think this is the reason why people ask to see footage here on this site.

What worries me a little every time i put gh2 film on to hdv tape one of my 3 ways of storage and if there is some HV30 footage left after the gh2s the hv30s simply looks better,i am using cinema mode as a last resort and its still inferior to the hvs.

Look into the viewfinder of a Canon DSLR while recording a video and tell me what you see. If you like a softer lower quality image in 1080p mode then stick with a Canon DSLR but you would have to be blind to not see that the GH2 has the best video quality today of all hybrid still/video cameras.

So you are saying that you back up your GH2 material on HDV tape? How do you get it onto the tape without 2nd generation degradation? I had an HV30 when I got the GH1. I watched them side by side and immediately put the HV30 up for sale. This was even before the hack. I can't possibly understand how you think the HV30 beats a GH2.. But that is just my opinion..

well i wish you could be with me and watch the footage,HDV is one of three ways i keep my films the others are blu ray and HDS,when i make a film and render it there is the option of which format to output to IE disc dvd/avchd and blu ray, file and tape if you cant do that i dont know why, there is no second generation loss, there has always been argument as to whether hdv loses quality after copies and i have never found any loss even after 4 generations,i have only used 24P very little as it causes jiiter problems after edit so i stay with 720P,When i say i cant realy match my hv i refer to the color but perhaps i should have said i expected to beet it but i am finding it hard to and i still prefer the hvs color they are capable of great footage, one thing the hv is miles better at is AF,i dont plan to give up on the GH2 now but as this guys footage shows HV30s can take great film

The GH2 hasn't been out long enough for many of the "Hollywood" pros to take advantage of it and have the kind of range of shooting that the Canon has. Canon has had a couple of year lead and the advantage of being a new tool until recently. But there's nothing stopping the GH2 from creating a great look except the person behind the viewfinder. Shouldn't be any worse than a 7D/T2i. But for my money, the 550D, 7D, T2i and GH2 are nice workarounds until we see more AF100 like cameras arrive in mass. While I shoot with a 7D, the limitations of any of these cameras make significant workarounds for audio, monitoring, zebras and the like a hassle for average field use without a second person on the crew. All for DOF. If I had to do what I did last year, (when I ramped up a 7D kit), I would likely now be looking at the GH2, as the lens' are more impressive to me, (I always have preferred Leica to Canon lenses) and are easily interchangeable with the AF100. If I were starting cold this year, I would assume that I would eventually get the AF100, and buy the GH2 as an interim, using the lens with the AF100 later, and using the GH2 as the B camera. (if you live near a major city you likely could rent the AF100 when needed). I think that makes much more sense, and maintains a better look and feel to the B camera than what I've encountered with my 7D and the HMC150 I also shoot with.

Hey, nice work on that video DVBRo...That's as good as anything I would imagine on other cameras...

You are right flinty that footage was awesome - even without the HD button pressed. I have a Canon HG21 and GH1 and the MAIN advantage is the shallow depth of field from the large sensor of the GH1.
Cheers

Nice video! And to answer the original posters question. The reason why we see less Pro videos shot on the gh2 has to do with its limited availability and its recent release. It takes a while for some pro's to adopt new technology especially if they have already invested in other equipment. To me it is a no brainer, the GH2 produces a superior image without any of the artifacts or overheating issues that the canon's have. I doubt we will see any Hollywood releases or larger scale productions using this camera for a while. It takes a long time to produce a professional product and this camera has only been out for a whole 4 months.

The "mother in the kitchen" video that you referred to was shot by Philip Bloom, who is a pro and tested the camera in its prerelease for panasonic.

I will be using the GH2 in combination with the AF100 for a music video in june, while this is a little ways away, I will be happy to provide you with a professional example then.

If people complain that there is not enough samples of the GH2 on the internet, when in fact there are, then the only thing you really have to do is test it yourself. For somebody knowledgeable about cameras a store test should be good enough. I checked it twice already at Adorama and know that it will work mighty fine. Plus of course I've watch plenty of great looking samples on Vimeo and Youtube because there are many there.

Plus, just like with still photography, its more about the quality of the lighting, and creativity of the photographer. Over all, the Panasonic technology is very nice, and in the right hands can look as good as any digital filming.
