I love that shot of the dead body being carried through the graveyard.

You guys get all the best locations in the states. Over here you have the choice of the leisure centre or some chav infested amusement arcade. Though the latter is horror of a different kind.

LOL!

Yeah, thanks. I love that shot, too. Too bad it ending up on the cutting room floor of the 6 minute version.

Thanks! Looking forward to you film.

Ted

Ok, you gave props to my "Horrorfest numbers" gag, so I thought I should check out your movie thread. Very cool! What could possibly be more scary than a cemetery!!!!

Now take a look at our movie thread. SNEAK You'll find it by looking up our director -- mentatDUKE

Been there and done that, man. Like you said, we dvxusers don't have much of a life!!!

Thanks for checking my thread out!

That's tough. I know how you feel. I'm planning a longer cut for my film after HorrorFest. How about you?

I think this picture really sums it up. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get the shot!
I'm looking forward to this one.

Right on man! Looking forward to this too.

Nice to see another actor in here.

Isn't it great buying food for the help? It was my first too and I just stood in the room with my arms crossed and watched them eat for an hour.

I heartily agree with you about the use of good sound playing devices. Rest assured, I'll make sure to view your film with some nice headphones....at just the right volume.

I'm looking forward to it quite a bit....

Yeah, I am. I came across an announcement that Boston was looking for entries for their 8 minute horrorfest. I figure I could develope my story a bit more and get some shots that I wanted back in!

I believe I saw that listing on craigslist. I'll have to dig it up again. I know that their deadline was a couple of weeks after dvxuser's deadline so I haven't worried about it yet.

Thanks for visiting the thread!

Theo - no really, man, you need to patent that ladder...
LOL! That's funny. I don't think that I could. But it is very useful and I hope that others may benefit from a ladder!!!

T.Guy, I think that you put more effort in your project than most of the fest people, so, I'll watch your film first.

Good luck.

p.s. You know where to look for real guts...

Thanks Plissken! That means a lot!!! I'm honored.

I am with Plissken on this one, I believe that one-man shows in here (or projects that involved very few people like Brandon!!) deserve a lot of our respect. Not to put down other projects! Don't take it the wrong way. But I think that the dedication that one or two people show in order to pull through this ordeal is amazing. Speaking for my 2 projects, if anything good is said about The Door Between I am going to consider this a direct approval of my brother's work. He is a professional musician and sound engineer and his work is on the line (let's say) and I respect enormously the fact that he doesnt care about putting his work in view on a project of mine even though he knows that I am not a very good film make (so far) and that his work might get lost behind crappy directing, acting and lights. So I guess it's amazing to see and know that some people have worked beyond their egos and beyond their capabilities just to help or be a part of this CELEBRATION.

Again I think I've written a post that is more poetic than it should be. Maybe I should focus on writting rather than making films..loool....
