Never mentioned any kids???
We have a 6 month old. Awesome.

No, no kids for us! We're kids enough for the house!!! We love them, but love our independent lifestyle too much! Plus, we work with kids and pass on what we can that way!

Congrats to you and yours! Awesome!

Ted

you too.
Yeah, it wasn't exactly planned, but geez, it has been awesome. I'm not exactly a great dad. But we have a lot of fun playing togethor :)
Ok, I'll let you have your thread back now
Jason

Only thing that would have improved that little reverie for me would have been to see you reprise your now famous ode: f*ck, f*ck, f*cking-f*ck

By the way, I have downloaded all of the films. Your film is one of the few I have watched. Looks like I won't get to vote, but I'll try to review most of them anyways. I have been too busy messing with all of my new equipment :) hvx's baby.
Anyways, I just wanted to say, that of the 7 or 8 that I have watched, your flick is the only one that I saw as a complete package. It was solid all the way around. There were some that looked great, with their dolly's and all, but didn't have a story going for them.
You have a good look for the camera by the way. I am assuming you have a bit of an acting background since you spell your handle theatre and not theater. Anyways, let me see... I enjoyed the style of editing, which I realize was partly out of necessity, but it worked well. Your film stood out as having a unique cinematographic (is that right?) style to it. It was pretty cohesive in that regard. The main thing that bugged me a bit, was the "yes, I killed you. I told you I'd never leave my wife" part. Just a little cheesy to me. And the drop the phone and then the glass. Two in a row, was a little much for me. One or the other. Since the glass gave you the shot of the hand in the ground, maybe that one, but make it more out of a startle, then the (forgive the term) "cliche" style of dropping stuff when you are scared. Make sense? I had an idea for the ending instead of the line I referenced. I can't remember it exactly now, but maybe something like replacing that with just a real gutteral, animalistic breakdown kinda sound. Just leave the I'd never leave my wife line out entirely. Show he has a wedding ring. The audience can be thinking he killed his wife the whole time. Then after the basement segment. His wife can come home, "Honey, I'm home" kinda thing. Standing at the top of the stairs the gun and all, that you had. But, then it is more of a ooohhh. He killed someone he was having an affair with... kinda thing. And you get to eliminate the "cheesy" part I referenced.
Just my opinion. again. I thought it has been the only film I have seen, so far, that was an actual film, with an actual story, style, etc. Decent acting (that's my background). In fact, another reason just to leave out the whole I won't leave my wife line... there isn't that much dialogue to begin with, and that section is a bit divergent from that.
Sorry, if I have repeated stuff that was already said, but I have kinda made it a point not to read reviews until I have watched the films, and formed my own opinion.

No, no.... Jason... great points!!! I'm liking this!

Will spend more time with this in a day or so.

But you are right on the money with some stuff here!

Yes, the two drops... didn't even think about that. The phone drop was an accident that turned into a choice. Would like to redo that but can't pull off that one-man rack focus again! No Way!

The lines in the basement were added because test audiences didn't have a clue who the woman was.

I said the line "I killed you" to make TIM admit his crime thus dissolving Sherry.

Great points. I may be PMing you later about some of this when I have time!

Thanks!!!
