The Walking Dead - Frank Darabont's Zombie Show on AMC!

Agreed RE: The Sopranos... though the Wire runs it very close as the greatest ever TV show.

Just for the record when citing Mad Men as the 'best show' - I meant currently and certainly on AMC....

Sopranos was good (sorry amazing) till the last episode, haven't seen it since.... the wire I have watched through around five times, to each their own I guess. (and that includes stupid gimmicks to finish shows.... Roseanne anyone?)

Yeah the characters are flat and it worked better in the comics but it's all building, I hope, to something. You know the whole Stephen king thing, where he gets you to know a group of people for half a book before you start to tear them apart and put them in the most horrifying situations imaginable.

they haven't even been through anything yet this has all just been a walk in the park, so hopefully they pick it up before the season is over or they are going to loose a lot of their audience.

I'll admit it's quality and grittiness is vastly reduced in comparison to the comics but it has great potential, lets just see what they do with the rest of the season.

@S. Matthews - one of the most amazing things kirkman touched on was the psychology of the children growing up in the new world. Like when one kid killed the other then saying its okay because they'll just come back

Good post S. Matthews... I certainly hope so. On the subject of Stephen King, I remember I heard a rumour he was penning an episode, was that ever confirmed?

the best ending ... the writers whacked the audience

i had the pleasure of eating at that restaurant last month on a trip to New Jersey. it wasn't very good, but for the novelty factor it was worth it. LOL at the Sopranos tour bus that was leaving as I arrived.

As for Walking Dead, my DVR is getting backed up with unwatched episodes, and this thread isn't helping. They found the girl, right? I mean she can't still be out there after all these weeks. Right?

My time is limited, I'd rather just watch The League. Give it up for my brolo, Raffi.

Walking Dead season 2 episode 7 Pretty Much Dead Already ... now that was up there with the graphic novels. Great episode

yeah it's picking up! they keep teasing us with a few things from the comics that I'm not sure if they are going to do or not... and I love it.

have you guys watched Hell on wheels? I'm really enjoying it.

p.s. on the Stephen King writing an episode I never herd that, but think it's a great idea and would love to see it.

Yeah, best episode since the opener. They stretched that missing girl subplot out for far too many episodes, but the payoff was pretty good.

... actually the more I think about it season 2 episode 7 is the best moment so far out of both seasons (in my humble opinion)

That was a long haul and in the end... not much really happened.

The girl was the only real payoff. Oh well. I hope next season is better because this one really dragged.

I am a super junkie for this show (DER)

But I want an episode with some action (ala DotD remake)

I'm waiting for some carnage and death and suspense

Damn it

Finally caught this weekend. By far the best ep of the season so far. Loved the ending even if I did see it coming a mile off.

Bought Season one on Black Friday, and have caught up thanks to Zune on my Xbox 360. Really enjoying this so far. It didn't seem to drag with the search for the little girl for me, but that's because I watched season two (what's been released so far, at least) in two nights. Really looking forward to seeing more.

A couple of questions I had during the series so far:

Spoiler: spoiler
Toward the beginning, they 'wore' a mans intestines while they were in the city so they could walk the streets to get to the truck. As soon as the rain came and started washing it off, the zombies could smell them and started after them. Why couldn't the zombies smell them when they were all under the vehicles as the zombie mob passed in season 2 (While they were on the road. Pre-farm house)?

Why was Dale hiding the guns from Shane? I understand he thinks Shane is too dangerous for that girl he's "protecting" (forgot her name), but it looked like he was going to put those guns in a tree and hide them. How would that have helped anything?
