One word of caution, based on what I saw in the trailer. The danger IMHO is that you may miss your audience. I'm a fan of the extreme end of the genre (Saw, Hostel, Audition etc.). It looks like you're going for that market. Make sure you reach it!! That means your stuff must measure up! Make it pretty extreme - and the bar is raised from year to year. If you don't go far enough, you'll essentially fall between the cracks - on the one hand you can't get the "wholesome teenager" crowd (Scream series etc.), and on the other hand you'll miss the extreme fans because you're too mild. I repeat: make it extreme. Also, if you go far enough, you'll gain some buzz which is priceless. If you do a good enough job, you'll get financing and a chance to go big. Remember: don't pull your punches, because you'll never please the prudes, meanwhile you'll get a blah from true gore fans.
