The Untouchables

Gibson

And then (in no particular)

DeNiro
Crowe
Ford
Clooney
Madsen
Costner
Dillon
Nolte
Willis
Murray
Russell
Walken
Newman
Pacino
McQueen

Of course I did.

Have you seen Rumor Has It, The Upside of Anger, Dragonfly, 3000 Miles to Gracelant, For Love of the Game, The Postman, Waterworld, The War, The Bodyguard, Robin Hood or Sizzle Beach USA? I have and they are terrible.

As I said, the few great acting jobs he has done do not make up for all of the crap in the later part of his career.

However, even after all of these movies I don't hate the guy or think he is a bad terrible actor, he just picks a lot of junk(my opinion) to be in.

I also think Tin Cup, JFK and Bull Durham were weak preformances.

i love deniro in this film. no one could have played a better scarface. hoskins was already contracted but was later replaced with deniro. apparently deniro got mucko bucks for just a couple of weeks work.

the whole cast is amazing in this film. wasn't this connery's comeback film? can't remember. i love the cinematography, the shooting, the music, the editing, everything makes this film great.

Very good list as well. Gibson is amazing, totally missed him in my list.

I love The Untouchables. Costner is great. I agree with Hudson here. Too many people rag on Costner. Sure, he's done a couple bad movies, but so has a lot of actors. Look at the good ones that he's done. Wyatt Earp, Dances With Wolves, Field of Dreams, JFK (a personal fav of mine), The Untouchables, Tin Cup was good IMO, 13 Days, Open Range, he was good in The Upside of Anger, i liked him in Robin Hood, Bull Durham, Silverado... that many great roles and people rag on him for 2 or 3.... i just don't get it.

I grew up on the original Untouchables series. My dad and I would always watch it, and when I saw an old classic car from the 30's that looked like any in The Untouchables I'd always call it "An Untouchables car."

Sounds like trolling.

You could at least explain whom on that list you don't like and why.

Cause i see some damn fine actors on that list.

You guys are nuts, I'm with you John! Costner is great. I enjoy his movies. Except for the fact I need a three hour window to watch most of em :) I dont ever have that much time on my hands.

Brandon!! I think Matt Damon is on your list because you look a bit like him!!

Yeah agreed... I am not a HUGE fan of ALL of them, but it's a good list nonetheless!

That's funny. I HAVE gotten that before...

I have never liked Costner either. My biggest beef with him is that he seems to play the same character no matter what role he is in. And there is something about his voice that always feels out of place to me, perhaps it is the monotone that was mentioned earlier, I'm not sure...but he's not a personal fan of mine.

I like Brandon and Hudson's lists, but I also really like actors like Ian McKellen, Michael Caine, Ben Kingsley, John Noble, Ian Holm, and Christopher Lee.

Ian McKellen, Michael Caine, Ben Kingsley, John Noble, Ian Holm, and Christopher Lee.

Totally with you on those gents.

I was discussing la Haine with someone last night and i have to say i really like Vincent Cassel. I'd like to see him do more here in the States.

That's a shame... I'm a fan of yours Larry! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

HA HA ... caught me on that one. That makes just NO sense at all, does it? I was trying to say I'm not a fan of his (Costner's, that is).

Glad to hear I have a fan, though :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
