Hey everyone

There are some things we have been promised/are expecting. I'd love to know when they will arrive... and any more info anyone has about them...

They are:

1) Duel Systems' Duel Adapter. For those of us wanting to use a Macbook Pro with our HVX. And how much will it cost?

2) An update to Avid's software to support 1080p24 over 60i and to support 720p25 and 720p50

3) The Cineporter

4) The 2 slot firewire P2 card reader that Panasonic had mocked up at NAB

5) Bigger P2 cards

6) An update to the HVX firmware with exciting new features :)

can anybody think of anything else we should be eagerly anticipating?

Called Duel Systems a couple weeks ago. They told me they were waiting for a new patch from apple before they could start beta testing the cards.

What exciting new features? MP3 player? Ability to transform into some sort of tank? Help me out here.

Seriously, I'd like to see some more gamma curves via firmware, perahps some noise reduction (don't know if that's possible with firmware) and the ability to do pure black and white. I'd also like the "secret framerates" to be made official and implimented into the main menu. I'd also like them to get rid of some of the limitations that just don't make sense to me. Why can't I do timelapse or stop motion in film cam mode or in 24p? Does it have something to do with the 60hz signal?

I second the idea of a FireWire P2 store, but I would also like to see a P2 store with a much larger disk, something like 120 or 160, at least. After all, Apple is now selling MacBook Pros with 2.5" hdd with up to 200 GB (though only 4200rpm).
