Ever sit back and think about the past? I do sometimes. In January 2009 I was living in Brooklyn, and I landed a job as cinematographer of the world's first ALL-HDSLR feature "The Louisiana Conversation" Well, some of you might say I've never heard of that and it's not on IMDB. I don't know what is happening with the producers or the movie, but I think they changed the title and disappeared. Maybe they are selling it down on canal street as a bootleg. I got paid enough to completely pay off all the gear I'd bought on my credit cards - but rent is high in New York - even in Bushwick.
What you're about to see is me making a fool of myself for a marketing company that is bankrolled by Canon. Maybe this is part of why I have such a bad feeling about Canon now...
Now, it's not as bad as if I had to do internet Porn to pay the rent, but I did basically whore myself for one day in order to help these guys get this video made... I had tried to tell them we should really be doing a serious segment on HDSLR's but they wanted NOTHING to do with that. Corporate bureaucracy is AWESOME.
