Here are some BTS PHOTOS from our two-day shoot (May 3rd-4th). I don't want to give away too much so I won't show any of the "juicy" tidbits just yet...but this will hopefully give you an idea! Screen grabs coming soon...check back later!

The slate...carefully wrangled by Anthony Lyle!

Getting ready for a possibly dangerous effects shot (that is me...not an actor in really cheezy wardrobe):

Yeah, I wanted to give a big thanks to Chris Messineo for the MoviePoet.com website!!! That place is a GREAT resource for anyone who is a filmmaker and is looking for ideas or inspiration! I have contacted several different screenwriters about scripts I've read on there and they have all been very helpful and willing to collaborate.

I have read several posts by people who are struggling to come up with ideas, especially for these festivals. CHECK OUT MOVIEPOET.COM!

And Don Riemer has been a big help and I hope we do his script justice!

Thanks for the kind words about MoviePoet.com.

I'm thrilled that several filmmakers from this contest have found their scripts there.

Wow, that is an awesome location. I remember those in people's backyards growing up in California. They would buy old railroad tanker cars converted to bomb shelters in case of WWIII. Looking forward to this.

Added some more location photos showing inside the basement as well as some headshots of the actors we have cast! Check it out on Page 1!

Tomorrow it begins!

Tomorrow it begins!

Well, it all starts tomorrow! And as usual I have a full page To Do list that all has to be done before then. You know, the usual.

Pick up lights for the DP.
Collect last minute props.
Chase down actors to ask for things you've already asked for ten times.
Get your random gear collection together.
Call and make sure all the people that "promised" they were going to "bring this" or "do that" are actually still "bringing this" and "doing that".
Find liquid nitrogen.
Find something to put it in.

You know...the usual! I'm sure everyone has shot or is about to shoot is in the same boat or is heading that way. Guess I just needed to vent a little! :furious3:

See, doesn't that feel better? :engel017:

In spite of all the craziness of production a lot of things have really fallen into place and I am grateful for that. We have done rehearsals with actors, a pre-light with the DP...all kinds of helpful things that are usually a luxury I do not get.

So, hopefully sometime early next week we will have some screen grabs, BTS stills, a poster and so on!

Keep up the good work everyone! I expect some quality stuff from all of you... :D

Ciao.

Production Wrapped!!!

Production Wrapped!!!

We wrapped shooting on Sunday evening and got everything we needed!

Ahh...what a good feeling... :D

It was a bit stressful heading into the weekend. A very central prop showed up the night before the shoot looking way less "awesome" than I had hoped it would. Major stress! So the morning after we spent the first hour and a half "fixing" it. It ended up looking absolutely amazing on camera fortunately.

We were also scheduled to have a short day on Saturday and wrap around 2:00pm...so naturally we didn't wrap until around 6:00pm. After seeing how long the shoot took on Saturday I was really worried about getting everything shot on Sunday. Fortunately our DP had a great setup running by Day 2 and it really sped us up.

Late in the day we went and stole some shots a second location with our actors while our crew stayed behind and redressed the set for another scene. We got back just as they were finishing up and it worked out perfectly!

Anyway, hopefully we will have some screen grabs up soon....

We were shooting the HVX-200 with the Redrock Micro (with the Micro X flip adapter). The images looked great but it just GOBBLED up the light! Which made our very small location quite warm... :Drogar-BlackEye(DBG I am considering selling the Redrock before our next production and getting the Letus Extreme to help with the light loss. I would be curious to hear anyone's opinion who has used both...

For those of you who have not shot yet...best of luck!!!

Ciao.

Thanks dude! I am definitely looking forward to seeing "Bartholomew Saxton" come to life...

Keep representin' Texas! :)

BTS PHOTOS POSTED ON PAGE 1!

Check the third post down for the latest BTS photos. Screen grabs will be coming soon so check back!

Thanks!
