THE SEXY, RELIABLE "NATIVE 25p" THREAD

What is highest average bitrate that could be maintain?With peak performance 75mbit i have codec pulsing in dark areas(i think it is gop 15 frequency so maybe average/maximum should be closer to 1?

Sorry, but this is waaaay too high for the AVCHD codec in my GH1 on a Sandisk Extreme 32GB Class 10 card. I keep getting write errors with these settings, and I'm only trying to film a planted aquarium at 1/50 shutter speed at 1920x1080 pixels.
I have already tried lowering them to

Video Bitrate FHD/SH - 46M
Overall Bitrate - 50M

and I *still* got Write speed errors for this SD card. The card is not that old, it should be perfectly fine, so I doubt that the problem is with the SanDisk Class 10.
Then I discovered an old thread about the Constant for 1080p= setting, and I did some testing with it..

The settings below work fine and stable for me now, without dropout frames or Write-speed error crashes (FHD 1920x1080 pixels at 25 f/s with 1/50 shutter speed), and especially the Constant for 1080p works wonders here:

Just want to say congrats & thanks for this Max Latitude patch! here in Europe/PAL land I`ve been trying out so many patches (along with many others here) on my 2 GH13 cameras for so long with varying success but this one takes the biscuit, it simply looks better than anything else has done since I began using the hacks and runs uncomplainingly (so far) on class 10 sandisk. It also plays back fine (so far) in camera. You can see it pushing VLC player to the limit on lateral movement. It has brilliant latitude and has given consistent high 80s/90s bitrates. Just beautiful. I think I`ll stick with this!
