Love it!!! Nice framing and the music just HIT the points!! Well done...One thing though, it is a bit too dark for my screen I guess...the black looks darker than usual.

Thanks very much. I'm glad you like it. Yes I agree, now looking back on it I think its too dark.

I will make sure that this is not the case for next years 48hour film.

This is REALLY good. I like the mood, sound track, and direction and camera work.

Question: Was the grading done in post to make it look dark, or filmed dark? Thanks,,, great stuff!

The girl switch totally creeped me out. Horror movies today don't even do that. I was so confused, and I love this very very much.

@Starcentral: Thanks! The film was shot quite dark to emphasize the ominous tone of the film. However once the film was converted and compressed it came out a lot darker than when we shot it. Have you had any problems with this shooting on DSLR cameras? We converted the footage from H.264 to Pro Res and then back to H.264 once the edit was complete.

@Foxd33: Thank you! Thats a very generous compliment. I'm really glad you liked it.

I've owned a 7D for well over a year now and vowed never to shoot HD on it (just an internal thing - lol) , most of my experience has been with professional 35mm adapters that I've owned such as the PS Technik mini35, and more recently larger size video cameras like AF100, and of course the Sony F3. I'n not sure why the footage went dark in your process but likely some color space thing between format conversion.

Anyway, reminds me of 28 weeks later... man just love that stuff. Looks like the darkness "issue" worked in your favour. Awesome awsome awesome!
