The Scary Look

:)

I think the biggest thing, Pauly, was that the cuts just looked like jumps in the video, like missing frames, which is why slowing and speeding up the time creates an effect that tells the viewer: okay, this is supposed to happen.

yeah like I said the jumpiness is youtube compression, that's why I used the audio hits when it cuts but it doesn't come off as smooth in youtube. sux cause I love how quick youtube is.

Hmmmm, who would ever try and acheive that "Saw" effect?

I've seen SO many people try to make a film, and then once they figure out that you need actors and sets and lights and sound and all of that, they bail. Or, alternatively, they ignore everything you need to make a good film and make the crappiest crap you've ever seen. And then once they realize their crappiness, they come to places like this forum and ask questions like "How do you make video look like film?", or "How do you get the 'Saw' effect?" and so on.

Well that seems like a good thing to concentrate on. Sorry to use bad-possibly bland- sarcasm but let's concentrate on the positive or at least constructive. Unless your funding someone's film it ain't your job to say quit.
