The town that inspired the creation of Silent Hill's underground coal fires. I used my Nikkor 28mm and 50mm and my crappy tripod:

Thanks guys. Centralia was pretty eerie. I started getting dizzy after 2 hours or so from the smoke so we skipped out on the rest of the area which a bunch of abandoned houses and streets were located in.

Excellent video. I was there in February of last year when it was cold and snow covered. It's fun watching the video, knowing exactly everything you shot...sitting in the cracks, the cemetary, everything. Would be nice to visit some time in the summer next time. Thanks for posting.

Thanks D-Day. I was thinking about going again in the winter in hopes of more smoke. I assumed snow would have trouble sticking to the ground, but if it does that would look pretty cool on camera.

Wow wtf where is this? I must visit.

Ha. I am pretty sure that was my reaction when I first saw a video of Centralia. It is in Pennsylvania about 2 hours from northern NJ. It is just asking to have a post apocalyptic short movie shot there without anyone even knowing. You got 250 years to do it before the fires burn out.

speachless!! steven u are THE MAN! im done shooting ...i cant even bother after this. (sike!) but WOW. this is awesome. u still use only vegas to grade? this looks amazing. hope u dont suffer any adverse effects from those gases....if u do though....make sure to film ur transformation :D

btw the music....sick!

By the way the shot with the rock on the road and girl walking...wow. Graded perfectly. U mite want to clean the heads of ur cam...I saw artifacts that resemble a dirty head. When I get home I will watch it and tell u where it is (on my fone now).

edit : the small artifacts are at 3.37

Yeah, I see that in a lot of my footage now...
I think it might be the old tape. I just keep re-using it. I had my heads cleaned by Mack Camera as part of my warranty about 2 months ago, but have not bought a new tape in at least a year and a half.

Lol dang, yeh I wud say its the tape then.

Yeah, I am 110% sure it is. I think it is a SONY TAPE TOO!
When I have more time and start shooting more often I will blow the six bucks on a new one

I saw the artifacts you found. I saw them editing. I thought they were bugs or something flying by or something. It was late...

You rock. How is your footage so sharp? Really great job man.

Thanks Mike!
To be honest, I really think the last month I have shot has looked really soft compared to the first six months I had my SGpro. I always sharpen my footage in Vegas, but it still seems softer now for some reason. The red light on my Rev 3 keeps blinking instead of staying on and Wayne said it might be a connection problem with the battery back going into the adapter itself. I have just been ignoring it since I started shooting again in hopes that each time it flashes, the ground glass is not suddenly loosing power and slowing down, then getting power and speeding back up.

The SD version is probably sharper than my uprezzed one but I didn't post that one yet
