The Producer's who shot "Come What May " with the XH-A1 are comming to Chattanooga

Advent Film group, who shot their movie "Come What May" with an XH-A1, is bringing a One-day Christian Film Workshop to the Chattanooga area on Monday, January 12th. I posted a similar notice in DVXUSER news, but thought that those who have the XH-A1 and would like to make a movie and are in the area would be interested. That's a great question. Technically speaking, not a whole lot of difference. The best way to explain the differences is give you an overview of the training.

One-day Film Workshop overview
9:00 - 10:00 AM - Proper theology in story
It begins with putting Christ at the center of the story. It doesn't mean being preachy. It is showing characters living out their Christian walk in a secular world.

10:00 - 11:00 AM - Proper form towards craft
Filmmaking uses powerful conventions that many Christians are NOT practicing. We'll how you how to master the proper form of feature filmmaking in order to apply Biblically-based craftsmanship.

11:00 - noon - Film resources in God's economy
Raising funds. Rallying cast, crew, and community. Recycling old tools to new uses. God has made provisions for films. It's all around us. We'll help you open your eyes to God's rich economy for filmmakers.

Noon to 1:00 PM - Working lunch
While you eat, we'll show you the tools of he film trade.

1:00 - 3:00 PM - Efficient production
It takes planning, process, work-flows, and patience to make a movie. We'll teach how to incorporate these techniques toward your digital production.

3:00 - 5:00 PM - Marketing & distribution
Grass-roots organizations and grass-tops leaders are key to your success. You'll learn how to find them and how your film can help them so (in turn) they can help you.

5:00 - 6:00 PM - Wrap-Up and Q & A

As you can see the main difference starts with the story and the purpose for the film. No matter what a person’s religious persuasion is I am sure they could learn some great things from this training. I posted it as a "Christian" workshop so people will not be surprised or offended when God is not only mentioned in the training, but is the focus.
