Okay I am no pro, but a few comments...and even a question or two.
First off, I am not very surprised at this. Every time I go in the "footage" section of the forums, there are a few names I see/watch that never disappoint. Your on that list.
Secondly...the colors? All I can say is WOW. Was that shot on a 7D? Cause I wish you would share your secret. I have a 7D (and a 1D MKIV) and I can't make either one of them look like that. My wife is growing tired of hearing me say it too!!
Thirdly, I really liked the camera movements. Some kind of jib/crane I assume? If you tell me you used a DP Slider I am gonna really be furious, cause I have one of those too, and I have not mastered the vertical moves at all. So do tell? How did you do the crane like moves?
Anyway...very nice. The pool is not bad either That pool is familiar...I think you posted some footage of it awhile back didn't you? Just after it was completed maybe?
Thanks guys! Yes I did use a crane as well as a mini indislider (and Papa ..the bumpy movement, as its a piece of crap). This was showing the client all the best clips.. we are only going to use some of them. As far as color grading. I use sony vegas pro and do it in secodary corrector corrector. But I strongly believe the mistake alot of people make (Thanks Philip bloom LOL) is to shoot on those real flat settings. You loose the blacks and that is the key to have great color. I use my own custom setting for vivid color. I had the same issue as ProAmature shooting very flat in Vegas.
This was to show all the clips. We are only going to use 1/3 of them. And yes it will be for there website as a pool contractor. It will be tied in with customers talking and the owner giving his sales pitch..Stuff like that.
