i thought my computer was having problems through this movie with the sound, but once it cut in i thought the movie was wonderful, very inspiring

I'm sorry to be a little rude here, but you could at least show a little respect yourself about cursing and telling me it must be removed because that is your Opinion. I have already contacted the admins and waiting on a reply of what will happen to the film.
 
Hmm just read through the thread - will hold my comments until theres an outcome from admins.

As a long time writer, it is difficult to listen to your explanation on why what you've done is okay. The fact that you can't even see what is wrong is a bit horrifying actually. Maybe if you were a writer and had your work taken like this, you would understand.
 
Think I'm going to go with Noel on this one and hold my review until the mods decide. I'm just gonna bite my tongue in the meantime...

It's a ONE PAGE script goddamit. Once you "take the basic story" what else is there to take?

Because parallel development is possible and it happens, this *could* have been a heated debate.

But you admitted yourself being aware of the existence of the material you stole. Therefore, it's clear there's nothing left to discuss here.

Have some dignity, apologize, remove this entry, and don't every put your name again along with "written by" in the same sentence unless you start "creating" instead of "taking".
 
It's best to man up and take it down before the mods do. This is flagrant and admitted plagiarism. You;re in a group of filmmakers, ALL creative people. How do you think we view plagiarism?

If someone stole my story AND my story structure and went ahead and filmed it, I'd be gunning for them.

Take the honorable approach and scrap this project before it's taken out of your hands.
 
Everyone needs to relax. We are dealing with this. No further comment on this situation by people in or out of the loop is necessary, and I appreciate your understanding. And you are all late to the party anyways :)
