The Official NFL 09-10 Season

I'm surprised a mod hasn't closed the thread for on-line wagering

How about we make it bigger. Not a bet, but a promise. If the Donkeys go 11-5 (or better) Rick and I will donate to Isara. If the Pats go 11-5 (or better) you can write them a check.

Hmm, I like it. I don't feel right about wagering on individual games because of the jinx factor but for the entire season I like. If the Broncos and Pats both do well...Isara gets a little bonus and everybody's happy...I'm in!

I think that's a tipping point record for both of them, based on ow they have been playing and their upcoming schedule. And this way, there's a good chance we will all be donating to Isara.

I'm open to changing those records a bit, but I think that 11-5 is a good balance between a gimmee and a "no effing way" for both teams. Of course, I never would have said that about the Broncos in pre-season.

I like it. That's a win win for everyone.

I'm not a big fan of betting on my team either.

Okay just to make sure were on the same page. If both teams go 11-5 or better we all donate to Isara? That sounds fine to me. Hey maybe we're on to something here with online betting for charities.

It should be a good game this week. Also, I hate playing in Mile High, that place is always a disaster for us. I really think both coaches are going to have something up their sleeves to counter each other.

I had forgotten how much I like responsible, game managing, no fireworks QB's. He seems like a perfect fit for their offense. 5 games and his first INT, and that was on a hail mary.

He's made a believer out of me.

If he screws it up now I'm gonna kill him.

In-friggin'-credible.

5-0. Our Offense has yet to be "explosive" but we are executing solid sound drives. That 98 yard drive to tie the game gave me a TON of respect for Orton. I miss Hillis. McDaniels wont give him the ball on 3rd and short for some reason. He is tied to Moreno. I can see why. He is a high draft pick with tons of talent but he still stutter steps at the line. He hesitates. He gives opposing defenses a milisecond to react to his decisions. Hillis would be amazing in that 3rd or 4th and short to go. Having said that, what do I know? I'm not the 5-0 coach.

I'm impressed McDaniels. Now go out and knock the Chargers down to reality. PLEAAASE.

Colts: 5-0 (can anybody say 19-0?)
Orton having his best year- Purdue
Brees having an MVP year - Purdue

Good year to be from Indiana.

As much as I would love the Broncos to get to the big show, Imagine a season where both Peyton and Eli go undefeated into the Super Bowl. They are more than a quarter of the way there.

Talk about sibling rivalry.

The problem with a Super Bowl that includes the New York Giants is that we'd have to endure a Super Bowl with the New York Giants. They are about as interesting as lint in a belly button. Sure, the story would be there. I'd love the Manning vs. Manning angle. But ultimately, the Giants are BORING. Besides, I think they might drop a game against the Saints this weekend anyway.
