The official "I got my AF100" thread

1000 apologies to Henery P and B&H.
My Nikon to M4/3 adapter was found tucked under the flap of the shipping box.
It was in a little pocket that had formed in the bottom of the box under the flap.
By the time the box had gotten to me the bottom of the box was almost soft like fine leather helping form the pocket. I am amazed that it looks like the only thing to get lost in shipping was the packing slip.
Once again my apologies.
Bob

All's well that ends well. I am glad this item turned up and really appreciate your phone call and this post. FWIW this incident has reopened a conversation about how we pack an order containing large items and smaller, more easily overlooked, items in the same shipping carton. There may well be a silver lining to this, despite Hotwood's initial situation.

Hi,

If your serial number starts with an L0 it has a card for mail-in fulfillment, look in the packet with the Ops Manual and CD-ROM. If it has an A1, it should be in the box.

Hope that helps,

Jan

Those of you who ordered from BHPhoto, did you receive a copy of Barry's book?

I got a BH second wave af100 and the book was in there. Great book, first time reading one of Mr Greens books. But anyone else have trouble with the CD? The pictures loaded very slow so I just copied the disc and it took 40 minutes to copy it all. It may have been weather damage from the looks of the disc.

I also couldnt load scene files the way Mr Green said to in the txt file but I found out how by looking around the menu and pushing buttons.

Just unpacked our newest toy (errr workhorse). I stuck a nikon 18-35 on the front end for effect. I will be doing some test work over the weekend after reading thru the very handy Barry Green book. I am hoping to have the Shoot 35 kit under it early next week if the UPS tracking info is accurate. I am using the Voigtlander Nikon F to M43 mount after Mr. Green recommended it.

Finally... it's in my hands. I need to pick up a Nikon to micro 4/3 adapter. So many to choose from. I know it's been discussed but if you have a recommendation shoot me a PM. Searching the forum for recommendations in the meantime.

Now it's time to go shoot...

Oh so happy... :Drogar-Happy(DBG): My Zeiss ZF's coupled to the camera with the voigtlander adapter = happy, happy, joy, joy.

Hey! My first post here at DVXUSER... Spent a lot of time on these forums pre AF-100 purchase... Well now it has arrived and I just wanted to say thanks to all the contributors who make this a one-of-a-kind community!

It depends on whether or not you need the adapter to set your aperture. The novoflex enables that for lenses that do not have a manual ring for it. All my Nikons have manual iris control and I got the Bower at B&H. It's $99 and it works great. Others who don't need the iris control on the adapter have selected the Voightlander and have claimed good results.

So browsing this and other threads it looks like time from order to deliveries is two to three weeks. Does this sound about right? how long did ya'll have to wait.

I just had my HMC 150 stolen and i'm a gh1 user and have jobs coming up.

BTW if you don't have business insurance......get it....i do and am really really glad.

thanks in advance
John
