Are these 'fresh' from Japan? Can't get a word out of my Canadian distributor (I have two on order from October) other than "late Feb to mid-March"…
Does Abel have any cams that are not spoken for? Long shot I know.

I wish we had extra, we are still back ordered. A batch from Japan has landed with the US distributors so there must be some resellers with extras. We do get them earlier then most companies because we are able to pick up directly from 2 of the 3 distributors so I would think the extras would start popping up in the next week or so.

My AF finally arrived today! Quite enjoying it and glad it came with the extremely helpful AF100 book. Very nice touch, Jan.

Incidentally, am very impressed with the speed of Log and Transfer with a 2 year old 8-core Mac Pro and FCP 7. It seems to be converting to ProRes from a USB card reader to a USB drive at 2x realtime. All 8-cores are at half capacity during this process.

Bought from a local dealer here in UTAH that I believe has two more in stock currently. I'm sure they'll go fast: http://tvspecialists.com

Thats awesome. sometimes the big retailers just have advantages. B&H has always done me well, and I will continue to use them.
 
standing idle while i wait if i can get a refund from my dealer....but i suspect by the time i get my answer b&h will have exhausted their stock.

Yeah - I have two on pre-order with deposits and I'll lose the deposit on one because of the order I just placed with B&H. But I'll have a camera here by Friday giving me a week to set it up before I shoot a 7 day gig with an ad agency. Worth losing the deposit knowing that I'll have at least one camera in lots of time to prepare.

I'm glad you're finally getting something soon. Can you perhaps use your deposit for something else?
 
Just got the call from Abel. Camera is on its way and they upgraded my shipping to overnight. A long long wait but hopefully it will be all worth it. Thanks!

Frank: They called my parents' home which I put on file when I pre-ordered. I recently updated my Abel account to reflect my personal information. But they got to me and all is well.
