Those arms are GREAT. I use one by IKAN with my smallHD DP1X and it was one of the best things I ever purchased. Use that with a manfrotto superclamp and I can stick my monitor on almost ANYTHING!

I've got a couple of Israeli Arms in small and large sizes and they work well, but pale in comparison to the Zacuto arms.
The Zicromounts are must have; make mounting and dismounting a snap and save the threads on the attachment points from constant use.
Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? Hell yes.

16x9 also makes a quick disconnect for monitors at a lesser price.
But I will have to say the Zacuto stuff is tops.

However, I can absolutely see the beauty of using the zicromounts.
And PaPa, if you use a superclamp, you could attach to anything:

You just have to get the right stud for it as well. I use my superclamp to attach my LCD to my crane, monopod, or tripod. I'd be VERY leery of drilling holes in the legs of my tripod though. I'd not want to alter the structural integrity of them.

No. IMHO, please forget the Panasonic 151 Mic. This is the Audio Technica AT875R. As far as I know, a much greater bang for the er... Pound.

Thanks. I have a bunch of mics from my music/recording interests and was going to experiment with using a couple of my condenser pencil mics. I don't have any experience yet with dedicated video cam mics, so I'm always interested in what people are using or recommend so I'll check the AT875R out.

I got a pair of 14-140 Lumix Lenses and then one 100-300 telephoto, one 7-14 wiide angle and one Panasonic Leica 45mm Macro-Elmarit.

Just got word our camera will ship today, so I'll have it in hand tomorrow. our tripod's been looking a little sad and lonely.
