Just got my AF-100 from Full Compass.

No thanks to UPS as I Shawn from FC told them to hold it at the hub for me as I was on a 13-hour shoot yesterday.

Of course when I went down there this morning to pick it up it was on a truck for delivery.

Idiots.
 
Just got the cam and had to get a quick product shot. No time to read the manual (except to figure out how to get it to let me use non-native lens).

Zeiss 85 / 1.4 (Nikon adapter) at f/2, camera settings out of the box, ISO 250, no grading, ambient light. FCP to Prores422 to H264.
 
Mine got here on Monday and I just opened it.

Yeah the camera is great (not crazy about the flimsy looking "on and off" button though)...but the best thing about it is...a FREE copy of Barry's AF100book! Now that is totally kick a**!

Got mine today from Full Compass! (thanks Shawn!)
Plugged in the power supply, put my only pre-Birger lens, a Canon FD f/1.7 50mm on- looks sweet! Gorgeous bokeh from our christmas tree lights.
And the eBay FD-m4/3 adapter ($25, I think?) seems solid- a great fit and a pleasant surprise.

Had a shoot with my HPX170 last night at a not-so-well lit art museum (300 shutter, + 3db gain)- man, would the AF100 have rocked in that situation for sensitivity and selective DoF.
Put the batt (+ 2 Hong Kongs) on charge, I'm ready to roll tonight!

Jan does love to take care of her customers. So send that coupon on! I'm sending out a bunch today, and probably will be for the next few weeks as they keep rolling in.

Just opened mine. It was number 61 of 67 of an order shipped from Japan to B and H.

All I can say is that, even with the Lumix lens, it gives me exactly what I was hoping for. Full 1080P with a shallow enough DOF to make even boring interviews look better.

Very excited.
