The official "I got my AF100" thread

It is really frustrating. I pre-ordered in October from EAR, a smaller "local retailer" and was first on their list. My camera is expected to ship today, although still no conformation, so I may very well be a happy camper later today hopefully. But I too am kinda surprised that many who ordered in late December are getting their cameras sooner.

Oh well. I guess the lesson is to go with B&H next time. LOL I really hate their pay in full upfront policy though.

Just got my tracking number from Jasmine at Spec-Comm. Looks like my AF-100 will be here tomorrow!

And for those curious about these sorts of things, I was "patient zero" on their pre-order list. First in line. (Of course had I sprung for next day shipping I'd have it right now, but no worries.)


By the way, those of you who ordered from Spec-Comm might want to check out some of their "bundle" deals.

In the UK, Holdan will likely be carrying it. They're my distributor for The HMC Book, and I believe they will also be carrying The AF100 Book once I have copies to ship.

I will also put up an order page for individual sales, and have it listed in Amazon, once I have them in stock.

Most of the people at Abel have been very helpful (including Andy and Christy), but unfortunately the one handling my order has corresponded with little more than mass emails. This was fine up to Dec 27th, but now I need to know what's going on on a more detailed and personal level if I'm to keep my order there.
