The official "I got my AF100" thread

Petros,
I realize it's the holidays. I've spent many a snowy holiday turning packages on freezing street corners while the masses are curled up in front of fireplaces watching tv etc...let's keep it in perspective. We are talking about exchanging a few emails.

I believe my post was an attempt to do just that.

All the best,
Petros

Just got my AF-101

I've just received my AF-101. I'm at work, now. In a couple of hours I will go back home and I will post the unboxing pics.

Regards

Gary

I pre-ordered two AG-AF101 from 3D Broadcast in the UK, a reasonable amount of time ago. There was a delay last week caused by the effect that the bad weather caused in european Airports.

The UK scheduled delivery date was December 17th. 3D Broadcast was supposed to receive them on December 20th and ship them on the 21st. However, all this seems to be delayed and as far as I know, cameras have not yet been received by them.

I was also told by 3D Broadcast that cameras arrive first in Germany and are there distributed to the remaining european countries. I'm not 100% sure how accurate this is since Gary here above, just received his in Italy... But if someone in the UK has received his, please let me know...

Either way, I'm expecting news from 3D Broadcast anytime, since, despite this being a pre-order process, I took the initiative not to wait for shipping date to make the full payment. I made the full payment some time ago.

I am therefore understandably anxious to receive mine.:2vrolijk_08:

I had the same infoes but on the sticker on the camera package is written that it comes directly from Japan. I think you should receive tomorrow: my retailer (Adcom) is in my city (about 1 km from home) so I've picked the cam by myself this morning, as soon as I've received the SMS. When I was there they were shipping the other cameras all over Italy, so I think that european customers should receive their camera from tomorrow onwards.

Now I go to unbox my camera

Thanks, Gary!

I actually live in Portugal but found better prices in the UK. This is unsurprising since my government has a tradition of trying hard to ruin the population. With 23% VAT in 2011 and with the highest prices combined with the lower salaries in Europe (480 € minimum wage)... I'd be crazy to buy anything here.

Therefore, I'd like to believe the cameras will arrive at least this week!.. 3D Broadcast told me that shipping would be next day.

Fingers crossed for this week. Ordered from Silverado and in their first batch. Only a six hour drive, maybe i should go pick it up instead of waiting for fedex? :)

I have a feeling that the blizzard on the east coast is going to slow down distribution. NYC and NJ are shut down for the day, which means both Panasonic and several distributors are shut down. I wouldn't drive to NYC today :)

Are cameras supposed to ship today?
I keep hitting refresh waiting for the status to change! lol

I'll check back tonight to see if i have a tracking number. In any case, I'm sure i will be notified by e-mail when it's been sent.

Andy is right. We got 18 inches of snow here in NYC, complete mess. Mine is shipping to Massachusetts from B&H so I can save on tax, Im figuring Friday if Im real lucky. I doubt anything is going out for at least a couple days.
