I am in disbelief.

This is ridiculous.

[clumsy_cool]

Ridiculous but clever

[Kegan]

I am so curious to know what the actual market is for iPhone filmmakers? That's just crazy how companies are releasing iPhone accessories, stabilizers, etc. Is it just a fad, a gimmick? What is it?

[patssle]

Is this an April Fools joke come early?

[Hawk Teflon]

I'm actually surprised to see it took this long to come out with.

Man I can't wait till the 35mm adapters, onboard light kits and monitors come out. I'm going to have the most pro iphone rig ever.

[hoarp001]

I was told this news about one of Tiffens sales guys, apparently its not a joke.

Who wants an iPhone enabled Hocus Focus!?

[Paul Hudson]

I don't know if I should laugh or cry!

[Pookie]

INTRODUCING THE STEADICAM BOBO

[hoarp001]

I wish there was a more ridiculous type of camera we could fake Steadicams for.... but there just isn't a camera more ridiculous than the iPhone.....

I suspect it is probably genuine...

On the other hand, it wouldn't be the first time that Garrett B. has made a tongue-in-cheek announcement about a forthcoming new invention...

Behold the MoleCam!

Apparently, a prototype model was used during production of FANTASTIC MR FOX (2009)

[mikkowilson]

Awesome Pookie.

[hoarp001]

I think we should all refur to the Smoothee as the Steadicam BoBo from now on.

[mikkowilson]

Smoothee huh..

But does it blend?

I was disappointed, because when I saw the title to this thread I thought maybe it would be a beverage holder attachment for a steadicam.

the results actually look kind of nice:

[Paul Hudson]

Now see, I would actually like to have a Steadicam BoBo! Or would it be the IBoBo?

[Postmaster]

Ha! That Steadicam Smoothee is a cheap Manfrotto Modosteady knockoff.

...err wait, it´s for Steadicam, so it´s probably not exactly cheap.
