The New Apple / Intel Macbooks

I wouldn't use iMovie for that sort of thing.
In QTpro you can record in 'device native' settings. So those are fullrez native files. Should work, but then again; I ain't shure since I haven't got an HVX. Works with my TRV900 though... :)

I Talked to Barry and he isn't sure either, so I guess we just have to wait until enough people have both the HVX and the computers/software to find out.

No wait, doesn't work. Size to small and fps way to low...
Final cut express might be the way to go...
Or maybe these guys plan an update? http://www.virtualvtr.com/

FCE is too expensive at 400 per machine to go that route. Hopefully Apple will realize that many of us Indie guys don't have the deep pockets of the big guys and will do us a favor and give us a way to capture 1080 24p with Quicktime pro.

Well, I searched for an inixpensive app up to the task but came up empty handed...
iMovie will only capyure HDV and I don't think it handles live-recording either.
The quest goes on...
