C300: the Mic

My Camon C300 Mark II came with a Mic. Not sure what brand or make it is. anyone received a mic with their camera?

Is there no fine print located anywhere on the barrel you can research?

This is "What's in the Box" (when purchased new).

It must have been some kind of special deal. As far as I know, no Canon C-line camera has ever come with more than the onboard scratch mics (or the one in the handle of the C100/C100Mk2).

I'm guessing it was all purchased used as any $50/etc. "incentive" microphone from a small brick-and-mortar would have had at least some type of packaging for the microphone with a name on it.

it might have been put in there by mistake? I look at the paperwork but it not listed on there. Here are photos of the mic

If this was a brand new purchase (I see the box), that's interesting.

Looks similar to the stock that comes with JVC's LS300.
