I picked up a DVD for $5 that had 8 horror movies on it, all were pretty bad and embarrassing to watch except..... The Last of the Living (zombie flick)

I was amazed at the quality of this film in every aspect from directing, acting, even cinematography... I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was shot on the good old XLH1... I don't think any 35mm adapters were used, but haven't been able to really dig up any info on it myself.

Great film, I hope some others have see it or will see it... very inspiring to the indie filmmaker....

Best film I saw made with the XLH1 was a indie flick called 'The Signal', also a kind of Zombie movie. Though that one did use an adapter. 'Crank 2' made with the XHA1 was also pretty amazing (for the type of movie it was).

Never even heard of this one; will try to check it out.

Yeah, I saw that one, pretty decent. I picked it up as a $5 choice as well, but at the time is was the main attraction with only one other B-title packed with it.

I find it really quite sad that terrible movies by 'The Asylum' featuring has-been TV actors, consistently get TV play and relatively wide video release, while the best an indie gem can hope for is to be multi-packed in the bargain rack.
