The Kitchen

I just wanted to see what kind of look I could achieve with available, it proved to be much more challenging than I though it would be.

For lenses I used the Tokina 11-16 2.8
Tamron 17-50 2.8 and the Canon 17-85 5.6.
ISO 100 to 800

I built a DIY Dolly with old rollerblade wheels - here's the tutorial: http://www.digitaljuice.com/djtv/detail.asp?sid=144 -- I'd recommend surfing their site a bit, they have other cool tutorials and products. The wole thing cost less than $50 and with a little practice works very well.

After the $500 sticker shock I decided to build this DIY: http://www.dollytrax.com/ A couple of things people might want to know, Three trips to Home Depot, two trips to Harbor Freight, after searching for good wheels online, and three afternoons spent on construction and paint I completed the build. Although it cost me around a $100, after all the time spent on building it I'm thinking I should have paid the money, its actually not a bad deal. I guess it depends on how much of a budget your on, plus you can customize it as you build it for your specific needs.

I also have a 8-12ft jib. Aside from all of the camera moves it was quite challenging to figure out how to make a kitchen look good with available tools. It kind of reminded me of being back in my video production class in college.

How are things in Eureka? That's such a beautiful area.
