The Jay Leno Situation...

Anyone see Barry Manilow on Conan last night?
Holy crap! He's so thin! They even touched on being skinny and how he just forgets to eat sometimes.

He's beyond skinny. He's sickly looking.

I was stoaked to see them actually air (for the first/only time ever?) the "Credits Song" last night. The fact that they aired it yesterday leads me to believe that they my very well be expecting some emotion at the end of tonight's show.

assuming some other talented gent doesn't take it when I'm an old man.
 
His speech made me teary eyed. I've been watching the guy since I was 11, so about 8 years now. It was extremely emotional to see him go. I look forward to seeing him on again after 7 months.

Hey you guys notice he did have a little moment where he lead at the end of Freebird? And if I may say, tore it up quite generously!

I don't feel bad for Conan. He rocks. He wasn't himself and when this whole thing blew up we got to see him, again. What sucks is that all of this augmented him, and we'll never get the Conan squared we enjoyed this week.

7 months... please say Comedy Central, though I'll bet anything it'll be Fox. Wherever he goes, they better learn that he needs to be himself.

I like Jay, but he ain't no Conan. A lot of people say the same to me about Jay though.

Last I heard the producers of the Oscars had talks with Conan about him possibly being a third host and are now having concers with 3 white guys (Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin other two), dunno what they decided but they had also considered a black host and a woman for a 'possible' surprise 3rd host.

Conan can't set up shop as a talk show host for 7 months per his buyout deal, FOX has 220+ affiliates that have to vote on it, majority will probably favor a show with him so not that big of deal, he will take the job if everything is a go at FOX, FOX isn't going to step on their affiliates so things will be quite until after they vote, could be 3-4 months.

I'm sure we will see Conan on FOX in 11ish months, I do know he has already said he will do a show if he is wanted.

Expect 3-4 months of not hearing anything about it.
