I started this project on Thursday with writing the script and doing the voiceover. On Friday I did all the "artwork" and animation, finishing around 1:00 AM.
It's the fastest project I've ever done, and seeing my time constraints I'm happy with it, but if I had the chance there is a lot I would change.

that was good, man. i like animated educational stuff like this. there's one about the financial crisis, which was clever.

edison WAS a jerk! ;)

@Fahad - Heh, yeah, he was a jerk...was thinking of a different word but wanted to keep this suitable for the kiddos. ;-)
 
@CMcMahon - I blame that misspelling on a lack of sleep. :-P

I released a "Vimeo version" which fixed the spelling issues, anatomy of the stick figures, and included some sound effects. It was posted in the Vimeo staff favorites, which means it was also posted on the front page of Vimeo.

Great film. Well done. We studied Tesla in school actually, and the current war. My friends wanted to make shirts that read 'team tesla.'

Edison was indeed one of the biggest jerks around. Not to mention that it was often his lab that created these inventions, and Edison was more of a businessman buying patents from my understanding. I remember hearing that the lightbulb was actually invented by two Canadians and Edison bought the patent. Same with almost everything he 'invented', yet he goes down in history as the inventor of this and that...

Not to mention his whole history with cinema. Thugs on set forcing filmmakers to use only edison materials and equipment... eventually driving everyone away to hollywood. In a way you could say Edison being a jerk really 'made' hollywood.
