The Hand That Feeds

That was really good Macaholic262. You had some really nice shots in there, while others I think might benefit from some more effective lighting. Some of the camera
moves were really nice too.

Wow! Really impressive Mac! That's a pretty ambitious project, and I think you pulled it off well! Definitely, better lighting and sound would have been helpful, but the story is all there, and easy to folow. Nice going. How long did that take you to do?

well we probably shot a total of 6 entire days, but with people going on vacation and whatnot it took about a month, but thats with post.

yeah i know, feel free to take this one down mods, i posted it here first, than after realized hey there is a section for user films! "It's funny the things you don't see in your own backyard until people come to visit!"

I don't mind the double posting, since many of us don't look through all the post. Thanks for posting it in this section. I've been wanting to see some Redrock footage.

dude, I'm totally 100%, for your footy getting seen. It just bugs me when I put effort to comment on something, and I discover the thread else where. I just kinda go, "oh..."

It's cool. Just don't do it intentionally! :)

My review, hope some of these tips help. Very professional looking, I think the Redrock lens really gives it a great Varicam look. It is clear when you use it you must use a lot of lighting to avoid the darkness that appears on the sides. I liked the dolly shots, my suggestion is to pan the opposite direction more, it seems like it was always moving to the right. The final comment would be to always be moving the story along, I feel this could have been cut down more. If you left it as it is now with out cutting and footage, I think some music needs to be added to the long silences while they are playing. Hope these specific tips help.

thanks, i didn't even realize that all the dollies were going the same way. thats something i really need to keep an eye on next time and probably wouldn't have noticed unless you mentioned it! thanks=]
