Hello,

In the release note of version 27.73 it is written:
MENU is added to adjustment the brightness of LCD.
OPTION MENU > LCD SUB BRIGHT : R offset / G offset / B offset
http://eww.pass.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/content/download/EN/ep2main/soft/px270/2773px270.htm

I have the last firmware on my AJ-PX270 but I can't found the Red/Green/Blue offset. In the sub menu of LCD SETTING I have brightness, contrast, color level, backlight, nothing more.

Are any of you 250 or 270 users still using the Panasonic P2 Viewer Software? If not, what are you using to upload and catalogue your footage?

Yes. I used to just copy the directories from the card but with the P2 software I can select just certain clips to copy and the software will adjust the XML files to be correct. Handy for skipping bad clips or ingesting selected clips to different directories. If you take the time you can also edit the metadata including the clip's user name which then automatically shows up in Premiere on import.

Thanks zjrt02.

Panasonic software; it is always a bit strange. In the past, it always got it done, but you don't hear much about it no. Likely because so many NLEs can do it direct.

I have talked to Panasonic Germany. There are no such settings.

First, I want to welcome myself to the 270 club. It was a long time coming from a well loved HPX170 and other supporting cams. My wait was painful; I wanted to upgrade for quite some time and seriously considered a Canon EOS series since I am vested in EF glass. But the 270 hits so many good spots for a decent price, even if I wanted to add a big chip cam later, the 270 would still be a great cam to own. So far I'm very pleased with the improved flip out and EVF. I'm not so sure I would feel compelled to rig an external as a matter of course. The lens controls are greatly improved over the 170, as are the button placements, ditto on the lens hood. More than anything, I wanted a good recording codec, but not a 4k raw type file with the file size implications.

Now will come the questions....because there is a lot of stuff to know.

First of all to the Landline Team, how about a separate header for the 270 cam.

Hey,

Yeah i have used the P2 ROP with the 270. It works great. I dont use the Panasonic wireless dongle. I took a lan cable from the Camera to a wireless router and then the ipad connects to the camera through the wireless router. So no need to waste money on the $150 wireless dongle, unless wireless is absolutely needed.

Just one issue i also have a Varizoom zoom controller for the 270, so if you use the ipad app then the wired zoom controller will not work, so in short you have to use either of the two. I dont know if i am not setting it up properly or if thats the way its supposed to work.

The Ipad app is nice and fun to use. Just wish that the zoom section on the app was not a pop out option.

Thanks YCP

I use the manfotto remotes and would do so if flying on a crane. I don't do crazy acrobatics on the crane; can you imagine shooting with an iPad control instead of the plugin controls? I'll try this for myself, but just curious how it might work. If you used the dongle, it might open some interesting possibilities for remote shooting.
