We tossed the language idea around a bit, but seeing how everyone in the cast spoke such polished English, we went with that to avoid the subtitles. I am curious, however, just how much a difference there would be had it been done in Romanian - if any.

You all guys surprised me with your comments and that's why I have no words.... I tried to make Alex's story as good as I wanted but I was afraid that technical problems would crash the emotion.

Just as long as there are "next projects". Please keep them coming. You have the skill to do them for sure. congrats on this one.

Tedy, well you know what the technical problems are. One of the most difficult things in shooting a short is getting the emotion to come across and in your short you did it well. Technical issues are much easier to forgive when the story is well written and then well portrayed.
 
I really liked the ending of this one. Great script. I won't harp on the technical issues, seems like others already pointed them out. The story was truly great.

First off, I'm a jerk, for lack of a harsher word. And you made me all warm and fuzzy at the end of this, that alone gives you a tip of my hat. I'm really impressed by you and all of the other entries that have used children, I know how difficult that can be, and then having really good performances. I like your style sir.
 
Very nice story. Love the acting of the brother and the little sister. Is the actor of the brother in his real life a disabled person? If not - he was exceptional! I am not sure about the acting of the older sister. She was a little rigid and too histerical. I think your film would be better with the original language and english subtitles. I absolutely like the end when the little sister with her brother left the big sister and the previous life behind. It was a very possitive light hearted end solution without to be too kitsch or too cute. Compliments. I hope to see something else from you in the future. :beer:
