The Famous Kingston 32gig 133x

I went at Photo Service in Montreal to buy a lens and I tested other brand SD Cards at a speed of 80x 133x 266x and none of the 133x where fast enough for the 7D. I was really mad because from the advice here on the board, I ordered online two 32 gig Kingston cards. At Photo Service they told me you got to buy UDMA! I did find that 266x was a minimum with other brands to cope with the writing speed required.

Yesterday I received my two 32 gig kingston 133x and boy! These cards are like the mysterious treasure from the cove. With rack focus, wip pans, anything. They dont even fill the buffer!!!

For 89$ a piece, it's a real deal!

( I dont work for kingston BTW  )

Yes this is the good link to the product. BTW it's not even sold in Canada. Got to import it.

I've got the Kingston card for my 7D and it works fine for the video. Fry's carries them her in L.A. and they have them on their website.

I haven't tried it with the raw burst, I don't think it will be fast enough, but it handles the video just fine.

Photo Service? Man they have the worst/ rudest employees in Montreal. Months ago they couldn't tell me the differences between a Sigma and a Canon flash. Also if their price is lower on their website than in store by mistake... well... you know what happens.

I mean, I have a generic 2GB card which I don't even know the speed, but most likely the slowest you can get as it only cost about 10 bucks a month ago and it works with the 7D too. I mean, I can record 1080p, play it back and all. The question is how well it works. In the manual it says to use UDMA cards. Is 133x UDMA? Are the Extreme III UDMA? I'm not sure. To be on the safe side I went with the Sandisk Extreme 400x (60MB/s).
