The footage with deeper drop shadow was shot on the AF100, while the others were done by different crews in other cities (as this was a very rushed job), & I'm unsure which cameras were used.

Our footage was captured in ACVHD against a green screen which was lit by daylight Kinos, except Bono which was a luma key from a black background.

A 720p version is on YouTube.

Great work man. I wonder who put this together and found a way to get all that talent.

Thanks gentleman.

Securing talent wasn't easy due to the rushed nature of the project. We initially setup at the Toronto International Film Festival to grab as many celebrities as possible, but this wasn't so simple due to everyone's tight schedules. We also shot a day in LA, while other crews shot in NYC, DC, & London.

Some of talent was secured by personal connections of crew members, some by Bono, others by ONE, & there was an agent in NY who specializes in such things.

The concept originated with ONE, & WONDROS.

Great stuff, great cause!
I did a ONE shoot back in '04 when they started, used to wear my white ONE bracelet, unfortunately it became gray...

How were the Kinos setup, as far as green screen/talent?
Thanks for sharing, Bern!

I shot the segment with Arianna Huffington on a Varicam 2700.The specs we received were unusual but the final result looks good.

We used two 2' 4Banks formed into a square as the key, & pointed down 45*, plus a 4' 4Bank rigged horizontally below the lens as a fill. The green screen was 20' wide, & about 15' behind the talent. It was lit by three 4' 4Banks mounted horizontally on a goal post, & all Kinos were fitted with a layer of Opal, expect the fill, which had multiple layers of diffusion. No backlight was used as I was after a moodier look

We were in a small meeting room, & the Director didn't want a full puppet theatre behind the subject, but we did use 4x4' floppies on either side, & only lit the screen to about 35-40 IRE to reduce spill.

There were two cameras rolling, one straight down the barrel filming through a Teleprompter, & the other off angle about 20-30*.

Was your key daylight too? All our light were as we couldn't secure Chroma Green tubes due to TIFF.

Sorry about the specs. I wasn't involved in sending those out as I was too busy with the stills aspect of the campaign, & wrangling talent.

Where did you shoot Arianna Huffington? In LA?

Ha! We were scratching our heads a bit Bern but you never know when you're going to learn something new in this biz.

We shot Arianna on a stage in Beverly Hills.

.We shot Arianna on a stage in Beverly Hills.[/QUOTE

Didn't know there was a shoot in Beverly Hills.

Initially there wasn't supposed to be additional shoots, but on set that changed, & the Producer quickly sent out specs that were supposed to match our established look.

Your footage looked good, but some others had green all over the skin, & were a nightmare in post.
