The DVX Book and DVD included with AG-DVX100A

Hi,

I thought about posting this in the long thread of Barry's Book but thought, no, this deserves its own. Starting with sales in January from authorized sources, the AG-DVX100A will include not only the Magic Bullet but also Barry Green's Book and DVD. The dealers may, at first, be unsure, but gently ask them to double check their Marketing Bulletins, it just hit the presses.

I have to say that Barry did what I have wanted to do but have not had the time. He did a great job. Thank you, Barry!

Now this was not an original idea, I stole it from The DVX Book thread; thank you folks for taking the time to respond and say how helpful it was to you.

Lastly, for those of you that bought a DVX from an authorized source, since January 1st, 2005, you need to send me a private message and I will tell you how to get your copy of Barry's DVX Book and DVD. If you got a Magic Bullet on the inside of the Box with a Blue Label on the outside, then it is likely an authorized unit.

So anyhow, I hope this is met as positive news and you can spread the word around that the "value added" has gone up a notch on the AG-DVX100A!

This is excellent news. I think the book is a must read and will be a a welcome addition to the package. Kind of wish I had the cash to buy a second camera, but i'm sure I'll have a chance to upgrade when the time is right. Thanks for your continued support of the DVX community...

Barry- Congratulations! Your book/DVD has helped me a lot. I'm glad that you're going to be rewarded for your masterful efforts.

wow, that's great. to bad I bought my cam 8 months ago missed out on the bonuses :'( , you know what they say, nothings for free. I did however buy barry's book and it's great that everyone will get a chance at having all that knowledge

I am honored that Panasonic felt that the book/dvd is worthy of bundling with the camera. My hope is that DVX buyers will now have even more information at their disposal and will get more value from their cameras.

I also really do like how Panasonic, and Jan in particular, approach the idea of bringing value to their customers. Jan found Magic Bullet and bundled it with the camera. She found DV Rack and is creating a specific bundle for that. And, thanks to so many positive comments from the DVXUser family, she's decided to offer the book & dvd in a bundled deal for all new purchasers... even if it wasn't my product that was benefitting from it, I'd still say that that attitude, that dedication to making the customer happy, just rocks.

Thank you Jan, thank you Panasonic, and thank you DVXUser members for all the great reviews that helped convince Jan to do this bundle deal! :)

I applaud Panasonic with the move..Unfortunately I just got the camera 2 weeks ago and just got the book a few days ago along with my DV rack program that I got from Ebay. But I'm glad I got everything now. All I need now is a Avid Pro to use my Magic bullet software and away I go. Cheers.

Congratulations Barry!!! Let's hope that this type of commitment and collaboration will continue with Panasonic and the users...very exciting.

A book that actually shows you how to operate the camera you buy, that comes with the camera.
Written in plain English, with examples.
What a novel concept.
Who knows,---it just may catch on.
We need more Barry Greens.
People who have figured it out and are generous enough to share that knowledge.

I have always said that Barry's book, to my mind, was the latest set of 'must have accessories' with a DVX100. It has been recognised as such now...with the DVX book and DVD...coming budled with a new camera....and u get them out of the box...GREAT...Jan.

Ah bloody hell, I have an authorized unit with MB and I bought Barry's Book and DVD a Month ago.
But really, no worries. What I learned from that time till now has already helped me on a shoot.

This is good news for new DVX owners as Barry's book is a great way for new users to get started. I only wish I had waited a bit before I bought my dvx. I purchased mine on Dec. 24.
