The Dreaded Church Of Scientology

I do find the "you suck" comment disapointing. My overall comments were to express a desire for the idea to just be explored alittle more. He obviously took the time to reshoot the guards and edit the piece and due to the response from the forum in my opinion(important part adam) I would enjoy to see more depth. The whole point of this forum is to post work and recieve feedback. I tend not to sugar coat my opinion, so if it seemed harsh it was only out of the above reasons.

Iamloser, if you posted the casual footage of your nature walk on the board than you would be subject to a critique- isnt that the purpose here? Dont we share opinions to make each other better. Plus this piece was not casual he took the time to shoot with a purpose than edit and add music and have a concept so its his choice to make it lemon juice.

I hope to find my recent message less of a suck.
 
You'll find the "you suck" post on every forum out there, welcome to the internet. That guy is entitled to his opinion (unfortunately) just as you are Boomerang (unfortunately).

So here's my opinion (also unfortunate)..

If you're so bored with this film, why torture yourself further by wasting time to post about how bored you are with it? (Rhetorical question, please don't bother answering as I'd rather you ponder this til the end of time).

As for me, I think this contrived, slanted "experiment" is pretty cool. It's real life, interesting to watch, and one guy's opinion, but as director/editor that's his call. Visually, who cares, it's a cavalcade of weirdos filming each other and I'm all for that.

Also, in my opinion, weirdo security guard #2 wins the standoff, as the cameraman turns tail, but we'll see what happens in the next episode. I also think sg#2 was mostly trying to just obstruct your view by "taking pictures". So next time take a cobra crane and put the camera 12 feet higher than he can reach and see his frustration mount!
 
Boomerang, you voiced your opinions, they are what they are, and you took your time to pick the pieces from it in your own constructive way. I do not aggree with your POV on the clip. As rdg stated though... I would like to see samples of what you have done as well.

HOWEVER.... the "You suck" comments should be left to teenager forums. As stated, unfortunately he is entitled to his opinion. But we all know comments like that should not be considered something to get ruffled over. However, they do happen everywhere. This is the internet. There's always going to be "that guy".

EVERYONE here has to realize that there will ALWAYS be 2 sides to a discussion. No movie, picture, poem, sculpture, book, script, drawing, is perfect, nor will it ever. Because there will ALWAYS be someone out there who won't like it. That's what makes us human.

As for scientology... hell ya it's f'in wierd. My friend's sister was almost converted, recently. She is an avid "party animal". And started going through the "conversion" process because of the guy she used to date.

They would make her take different pills and drink stuff to supposedly "cleanse" her body from her 15 years of smoking and drinking. She eventually turned 180 on him and ran for the doors. There was a whole bunch of whacked out things she told us about, but that can go to the Cafe Ala DVX.
 
Do they still wear those weird star wars 1977 uniforms? What was up with that Tooth challenged dude? That was really cool, I just hope they don't give that guy a bb gun.
