The Double Born

I have been making films for a number of years and am probably quite an old geezer compared to most on this group.

Recently I decided to embrace new technologies and make a small film with a bunch of friends, 2 DVX100 cameras, and lights, mostly purchased from Home Depot. We were not trying to make the format look like 35mm film, quite the opposite – we wanted dirty and gritty.

The film is being edited on FCP and we plan to color correct using Color – as soon a REAL MANUAL is released. Post sound is being done with Pro Tools LE with DV toolkit.

I hope you find this teaser interesting.

Certainly holds your interest. I'd see it!

My biggest fear is that the story will be hokey, but you take your chances (the line "it's a game. You didn't take it seriously, did you?" is what has me uneasy).

Great sound - I wonder what mikes were used... this is usually a big problem area for indies. You got a good look going too, kind of a nostalgic lo-budg way :)

I believe was used the Sennheiser MKH416. We used the Tascam HD-P2 for recording onto Flash memory. The system worked out very well.
