The Dispute

That was pretty damn good! The knockout punch at the end was good, nice blood splatter. It would have looked even better if the last shot of his face was a little more battered and bloody.

I agree about the music, it would have added to it if chosen correctly.

Loved the ending!

Great work.

Mike

Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I forgot to deinterlace. My bad. I might upload it again after I've done that.

I was considering adding music to the fight, but I couldn't find anything appropriate. Any suggestions?

I dont no, dont do anything cliche.........try rocky theme song?

lol kidding.

Get some mortal kombat in there or somethin.

Haha. Mortal combat music would completely throw off the intended feel of it. I was thinking of something with a more subtle, ambient feel to it as opposed to cheesy digital sounding music.

And did anyone notice him mumbling "cunt-whistle" while he's walking off? I thought that was kinda funny.

Man, that was really funny, guys. Of course I thought the guys were fighting about something really serious. . .now that I think about it, I guess they were. LOL.

The only thing I saw is that you could just tighten up the editing on the fight a bit, like with a couple of the punches and the reactions to the punches. For example (remember, just suggestions), delete a frame right before the guy is about to hit his head on the wall (makes the impact seem more explosive) or delete a frame right before the impact of the punch. Sometimes you when you know you're watching a fight it's cool when you don't see everything that happened in the fight the first time. You had a really good part in there where the guys where kind of wrestling and you couldn't tell exactly what was going on, but it didn't matter. You knew they were fighting and someone was getting hit. Great effort though. Kept me involved the whole time.

Hey that was pretty cool.

But I couldn't understand the line where he said what they were fighting about.

"you stole my ken" ???
"you stole monkey" ???

Maybe I am too old to kind of know what they are talking about, which would have helped me understand the line.

"Stole my kill".

Might have something to do with the age difference, my parents didn't get it either.

Well I undertstood the context. And the humor - that a video game would be that important. But the line was mumbled. I thought that's what he probably said but wasn't quite sure.

They were probably just playing Halo 3 or something online,
and the one dude stole his kill. Don't ever steal another dude's kill.

Real nice cam movements at the intro, not really belieable that two mates would beat hell out of each other over a video game, i'm that was a serious punch on for something that was not real serious. However it was a good laugh and well put together.
Cheers, Shaun

Isn't that like not finding it plausible that Moe would hit Curly with an iron skillet just for asking what the plan is again for the third time. :)

The disproportionate scale of the response to the affront is kinda the whole point of the short. The "gag".
