Just finished the first draft, at 9 pages. A lot of people mentioned how my last film had a Wes Anderson feel, and I suppose I was channeling him somewhat, though not consciously. I think this time I've channeled Woody Allen.
Dude!!
I was just breezing through your thread so I could get to the end of it to post how much your last film reminded me of Wes Anderson. I'm so excited to see that I wasn't the only one!
Wes Anderson is my favorite filmmaker of all time. I absolutely adore his work and could watch each one of his films over and over again. -- I love your taste in film, Matt. You've got a great eye and I see many similarities between the two of us. (As far as tastes go) -- Really really looking forward to this flick, man.
Also, let me know if you'd still like me to do that poster for your past entry. I'd also LOVE to design one for this film as well if you don't already have it taken care of.
Great work, man. I'm pumped.

post a few snippetts of the score! (PLEASE)
This is for a rough idea I just had for Love Fest:
In the middle of shooting a romantic comedy, film director Eli is dumped by his girlfriend/lead actress for her male co-star. Eli then renounces love, rejects the concept of romance, and is unable to bring himself to finish the film. He confides in Jeannie, the impulsive, beautiful, and unique female writer of the film, who takes it upon herself to rescue Eli from pessimism, and convince him that there's still romance in the universe.
Glad someone is interested. So far, no updates. I'm knee deep in casting my feature film. I'm most likely going to use whoever I cast in that film, for my love fest entry. I figure we can probably make it quickly, in time for the deadline, before the big project. I'll probably have a cast by beginning of February. We're going to rehearse all month, so we'll probably use the first week to work on my entry on the side.
What about 8 1/2? We're talking the Fellini film, right?
