The Dark Knight Rises

incase u missed it... there's a whole movement:) Marion's acting was really bad in this movie at some point I thought her french accent became irish..... the part where she meats Wayne at the party.

Seemed to me she was rolling with her natural accent the whole time. I didn't notice anything different at the party.

I don't get it. What's this supposed to be?

You keep using that phrase. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Extra points for the reference. Good one.
Disagree. There was practically zero justification for it within the narrative. He simply just "knew", and it was a poor deus ex machina.
Not everything in a plot needs to be explained, and some things shouldn't be.

For example, if Bane's knowledge of the armory's whereabouts had been explained, the impact of it would have been ruined. The scene where it's revealed to the audience, is also where he reveales it to Batman. This is actually very smart and clever writing. You withhold this information so that Batman's defeat is felt emotionally.
It's his scene. He's the protagonist, the emotional link between the plot and the viewer. His surprise and chock becomes the viewer's, but only if we don't know Bane's knowledge of his armory's location until the exact moment he does.

If they actually had revealed this earlier, or hinted at it, or planted it, the plot twist would have been spoiled.
So no, there's a great justification for it.

I didn't find it 'bad'. Her character was maybe a bit predictable and boring, but that's more the writing. I'm not sure I get this whole "dying" thing. She slumps in her seat, and that's funny? I guess it's someone trying to make it the new meme?

Also how is her accent justification for poor acting? On top of that I'm not exactly sure what part you're talking about, because the french accent sounded solid the whole way through... you know with her being ACTUALLY french and all...

Well said and completely agree.

And like most new meme attempts, pretty lame. Someone laughed in my second showing when she died though. It's not ridiculous in the movie and I think that just shows poor taste.

On top of that I'm not exactly sure what part you're talking about, because the french accent sounded solid the whole way through... you know with her being ACTUALLY french and all...

I think that comment stemmed from ignorance of her being a French actress, thus thinking it's an American actress trying to sound exotic. "Oops" I guess?

Never said her acting was bad because of her accent.
She is a good actress....but I guess the direction didnt help her imo for this movie.
There are many scenes in this movie where I was like was this the best take... and thats the first time that ever crossed my mind in a big movie... especially from Nolan.
Glad people enjoy it just so dissapointed I couldnt.

Im wondering if I should see it again. But then again...I wished I'd liked it the first time.

Lololol, One she is french so when she speaks english she has a french accent....why would I think she is an American or english actor.
I didnt say the american/english actress who played a french scientist started to sound irish or did I ?

That scene I was talking about is in the party. She explaines something to Wayne in a certain tone that changed her accent to my ears ...I was like aaah what's a happening...why does she have a irish accent all of a sudden.

plus I do know about a movie called Inception..that had me googling Marion Cotillard ( which sounds so French ) because I loved her acting in it and wanted to know more about this french actor.
Yes I know how to google :)

please point out to me where I say in this sentence the amercian actress:

Marion's acting was really bad in this movie at some point I thought her french accent became irish..... the part where she meats Wayne at the party.

Saw it for a third time with a friend last night. I wish my 1st viewing was how this one was because it played better to me this time. I think over time I'll enjoy the film for what it is, but still have my issues with it. The first time was a huge disappointment, tons of things drove me crazy, the ending fell flat for me, etc. This time things worked a lot better which is odd for a 3rd viewing after I know what's coming and know my issues with it.

Still last place to me, but it has it's moments of fun.

Finally got to the cinema to see this. Didn't seem to have any magic of the other two. Boring plot and the whole Bruce in prison bit? No thanks.
