"The Comeback of Jonas Michaels"

Hey guys, this is the first production diary I've ever tried. Hopefully this will go great!

Synopsis

Pop/rock singer Jonas Michaels had one hit, Sorry, in the mid nineties. For the past ten years, Jonas has had trouble keeping his career on track. With a failed second album, and a stage fright induced collapse at his last show a decade ago, Jonas hopes that this performance will be his big comeback.

Shooting begins tomorrow.

EDIT: I forgot to mention... this is the first time in a long time I've had to be in FRONT of the camera. It's definitely different. Especially since I play Jonas Michaels, and I have no musical talent. We had to record a song with me singing, too. Terrifying.

And after failed BTS shots and the likes, this turned out not like what I was expecting. Oh well. BUT we did finish the edit:

Here's some stills taken from the DVX. We were going to get some BTS stuff, but the camera battery wasn't charged. Awesome.

Stills are up. Editing has begun! Hopefully the edit on this one won't take long, and we can start on the next fest.

You shot a feature in two days? Congratulations!
Keep up the good work. What are you editing this on?

OH no! Sorry for that confusion. This is just a short. I'm anticipating about 5 minutes. We shot it all in one evening. It was getting the crowd to show up that was the time consuming part it seemed.

We're using Final Cut, and then probably AE for color correcting.

It's posted! It was kind of a pain CC this, as I was using Color for the first time, and that interface is not very user friendly. This was a pretty easy project from the get go. Much easier than our previous one.
