THE CLOSURE - a Bernie Hipos film

didn't understand why the date jump (1944-1965) had to be, when you didn't age the actress. the music didn't fit and was distracting, as were the over exposed exteriors. while I didn't buy the weird time shift stuff, I thought the romantic side of the story was nice.

This concept is very appealing and nice to see that someone tackled it. I'd be echoing most of the other comments to go much further, but the biggest thing about this for me was you told rather than let the audience discover. If you show me the elements of backstory rather than including them as dialogue, I'll remain much more engaged. Thanks for sharing your entry with us.

I really thought this story has a great deal of potential. To me it shows someone who is really thinking about the fest rules and bringing something original to the table.

Seriously, I would consider a re do and get a writer involved to iron out the areas people are commenting on. This could be a great story.

Thanks guys for taking time to watch my film, I really appreciate it. Your comments are really important, they'll make me a better filmmaker for sure. Thanks again. Cheers!

Hey man, I had fun watching this one. I really like the crazy ray gun -- it fits the world you created well. To me this flick was a throwback to a lot of older Asian films... I had a friend who showed me some crazy ass Filipino movies and I remember seeing some older Indonesian films (mostly horror)... and yours evoked the same feeling as a lot of those. Kind of a melodramatic sci-fi special effects mix that tries to pull at your heart strings.

So for that, I thank you. Trip down memory lane for me!

Noel and Jojopop make two really good points. The potential of the story and the kooky fun of the world you created. I had fun watching the flick. It had it's problems, but like jojopop said it really fit into that crazy throwback world. I enjoyed the different time periods and the visual elements that differentiated them. the laser was as awesome as it was ridiculous and the music was SO perfect.

Like Noel suggested, the writing could have been a lot smoother. But, hey, it worked for me. Here at dvxuser, you have your very own genre, Bernie. Keep it up!
