The Canon TC 80N3 Intervalometer

Currently I have an inexpensive intervalometer from eBay. Worked great for about a month now it is notoriously intermittent, even after changing to new batteries.

So I've been looking around for the Canon TC 80N3 and its out of stock where I usually purchase equipment [B&H, Adorama]. Abe's of Maine claims to have them in stock for $144.95. Has anyone purchased from them? Are they a reputable dealer?

Also. what's up with this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13892

Is this a knock off? It looks very similar to the Canon TC-80N3. Anyone have one of these?

Thanks.

That does look earily similar to the Canon intervalometer. Even the box is a near clone. Don't have it though (have the Canon and am extremely pleased with it using it for the past 4-5 months).

I just got one in a while ago. It works, but the knob on the side seems to be malfunctioning, in that it only allows moving the time values one way (so you have to "wrap around" values instead of moving up or down).

It ships from Hong Kong, so I'm debating whether it's worth the hassle to exchange it. Other than the side-knob it works just fine, and still was $100 cheaper than Canon's. Not sure if it will last longer or not (I'd suspect similar build quality to the Canon, considering it's a piece of plastic with an LED and controller board in it).

There seems to be no problem with Deal Extreme as a merchant... product shipped and arrived within a couple weeks of ordering. Perhaps I'll see how their customer service is by trying to exchange the unit.
