I'm having the problem of the heads locking up not allowing the tape to eject. Bummer.... Seems like not a lot of people have had this problem, so it's uncommon with DVX cameras.
But the message reads: "AUTO OFF- UNLOADING DOCK"

What's this dock that is unloading and why won't it unload already??

Is the only solution sending it to the repair center and does anyone have any idea of how much a repair like this runs for?

UPDATE: So I took the DVX to the repair center and the guy fixed it and said it was a tiny little piece of the tape that somehow chipped off, causing the entire mechanism to shut down. So there you have it. :)

Panasonic. But I confess, not the best ones. I told this episode to a buddy of mine who's a videographer and he said, "no, no, no! You only use the Panasonics brand so and so...they're 10 dollars each!" So I'm on the hunt right now.
