The Best Method Of Deinterlacing GH2 footage

Hey Hey

So for the first time in years! I have had to de-interlace some footage, from the GH2, in my case it was pal.
I havent done this in a very long time, and even then I wasnt very experienced back then. I think I just dropped a field. is there any better methods? whats the best way?

That link/method you posted is rather out-dated.
Me myself I use Avisynth and yadif or Tdeint, fast easy clean, excellent results and all freeware/open source.

Then for more specialized cases most pros use Fieldskit, although I do not have much experience with that.

Well there are many different ways to deinterlace and avisynth offers you all of them depending on which filter you use. What's best depends on the material: lots of motion, what typed of motion, format, noise, etc... and how fast you want the job done...

If you have never used avisynth, do not be afraid to try. It looks scarey at the start, but in fact it is much simpler to control and tweak than much "mainstream" software.
